The following is a message to the few bad apples of the bunch (this does not apply to most of you but if you see yourself in this message then the shoe will fit).

This is my message to a certain group of folks that are only worth mentioning on "my terms."  The original site was destroyed because of my own naive trust in conscious black people.  I had a stupid belief that if you are black AND conscious, that you believed in unity, were not as jealous or manipulative as the general population, understood how to really treat black women, had a compassion for our cause and the need to join together to support one another both economically and utilize our God-given talents to spark a revolution in our people with the Internet as our main weapon.

But, like I said, I was caught off guard.  You know what to expect when it's coming from "one of them" but when it's your "own" and they have "black consciousness," you don't see it coming because you are blinded by all of the blackness.  But my eyes are focused now.  While I was away dealing with the loss of family and trying to raise my child and go to school and pay bills, etc., men AND women that I had naively trusted spent their time promoting spinoff website(s) and saying negative things about this site in order to obtain memberships.  The hypocrisy is that they were saying bad things about www.black-poetry.com but then coming back to it to find e-mail addresses and to use the shoutbox to promote other websites.  They said that there was "love" elsewhere but it was the same people on my website spreading "hate."

I have saved copies of all of those comments that include IP addresses.  I also had copies of many emails.  If I suspected "trickery," I could receive copies of emails sent to find out what was going on.  As a result, I discovered that people were spamming my members.  Then I asked the person to refrain from doing that because it was, well, TACKY, but he still continued.  He did this in spite of the fact that I made him a resident poet to promote his book on the website and created the banner that you see floating around the Internet even to this day.    He did this after he said he understood.  I swear he is an EMAIL CRACKHEAD!   He and a few other people were using the shoutbox under various aliases in order to start drama with other visitors.  But I have the IP addresses and will aggressively monitor visits.

I don't care about where people go on the Internet because I understand traffic to websites and the more positive and consciously aware black websites mean that we are not limited in how we see ourselves online.  Yahoo is successful like Google but they spend their time in developing their website in order to bring visitors.  I mean, Yahoo wasn't going to Google or vice versa to steal email addresses, spam the email and say derogatory things about each other.  I have never seen Google using Yahoo messenger to invite people to their website to find "love."   Rather than help support this site to remain online, rather than come to a sista with some sort of teamplayer mentality to say that they had a website, they cowardly waited until my mama died to sneak and attack and then blamed me not being around for why they were dirty.

Okay, I will accept your logic, as ignorant as it sounds.  But I have stepped up my game.

Consider this an intense threat.  I am not stuttering, beating around the bush, or playing games.  I own 65 domain names, I have 54 clients, I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Management, I am CONSCIOUS and know what you know, I am an ANGRY BLACK FEMALE at times, my eyes are now wide open, I love God and can forgive but am wise to not forget, and I have an attorney who will make your life miserable and will dig up dirt that you didn't even know you had.  Do not come to my site with any ill harm or ill will to the site or my members.  If you think that your actions are questionable and you don't have the courage to come to me in a professional way, then just don't do it.  If you don't like the way things are done here, don't visit.  Don't steal, don't spam my members, and if you want to ADVERTISE, you pay $25.00 to market yourself but you do not illegally promote your books or websites.  If you are that much of a professional, then you should know that you should expect to pay for quality marketing and advertising.

WE CENSOR!  You are not allowed to defame this website or any other poetry website.  You are not allowed to stuff your books down my members' throats either.

And finally, there is nothing wrong with asking for donations or fees to support websites.  This isn't the black poetry welfare system!
