Featured Poet and Poem:

HEARTBREAK  by JOSIE

Un-loved heart...
A true unloved heart and
unreturned kindness
weak for a show of affection
speaking too much,
understanding too little
if he only knew
the amount of time
it took to reach out
only out of true desperation
yet, he has failed to hear me
greatly dismayed by his lack of style
uncomfortable, unsure, but very aware
tried to meet you at that halfway point,
but you were set tripping
possibly on your jacked up abilities
or you preconceived notions
of my expectations,
but knowing was half your battle
it was short and everything but sweet
best mistakes are short lived ones
nothing lost- reinforced wisdom gained
some evolve and some stay the same
as I continue to run circles
I pray the next victim get hers first!
