For if dreams die
Life is like a broken-winged bird

Contemplations  by Tech*

Contemplatin the existence of those not yet born
Got my subconscious scorned
Why does my soul burn
Maybe it's cause my hearts been torn
Am I crying
I don't know but my eyes burn
Crucifix on my neck showing the price of Christ's birth
Do I represent my hood
No I represent my blood
Half-breed destined to change the earth
My fate written in the stars since my birth
Universal flames got the solar winds panned out
Catch the sails of Ragnarok the boat with the dragon's snout
Me an Odin we go way back
He gave his eye for wisdom I gave my heart for a sack
Stop, rewrite the verses
Write the words that my brain inspire but my soul curses
Am I gettin philosophical or am I gettin psychological
Invade your brain make you think you goin insane
The positive and negative of the deoxyribonucliec strain
Alterin your genomi information got you savin face an
Before you realize the difference between man and demon
I already seperated the two
Got the outside reflectin the internal view
Misshapen beings walkin like a Punchinello
That humpbacked clown a being somewhat detrimental
Contradictory or is it irony
That a clown should wear an eternal frown
This direct relation to society of hypocratic demonstrations
The hardships my God's got me facin
In the end will make stronger
My soul will burn no longer
Instead the gates of heaven will open wide
Close hell's deadly maw and hide the denizens inside
A shining realization of heavenly ascention
A form hidden from man's view is confusing like reverse condensation
It's almost condemnation
But in truth it's salvation
May the God you worship bless you with his spiritual salvation
I'm still writin almost like my brain is masterbatin
Ejaculatin fluid-like vocabulary
The suffixes, vowels, verbs, and consonants vary
I'm running out of realistic subjects
So ima close my prose with a quote from a homeless man in the projects
" Gimme a quarter...."

Love Already Knows It Can Fly   by BEE
Love already knows it can fly

Like moonlight shimmering on the Nile
The sun setting when it wants to go down
In whimpers of truth and destiny
I wanted to love you
Like the trees twisting in the wind
A flower that opens to meet its splendor with twists and bends
I saw in admiration even the wings that would not
Allow you to fly
And I wanted to believe in you
Fight with you
Discover with you the mystery in burst of love
Create a history of you and I
But like the clever word of those of wise
A scripture reference that opens ones eyes
Though dream seemed more than true
I knew
No matter how much I believe and love and try
If you can not see your wings
In fate I must fly by

Hold Your Head High Nubian Sister by Slendah

Hold your head high Nubian Sister,
today we celebrate you.
You graduated college with honors,
and that's not an easy thing to do;

As a wife, a mother, a co-worker, a student,
you took it all in stride.
It's for this reason we admire you so,
and in our hearts feel a great sense of pride;

Hold your head high Nubian sister,
as you receive your college degree.
Today we celebrate your accomplishments
as you graduate Cum Laude;
